OKTOBER MEETUP on 20th October,2013

The Meet started with the introduction of the members that were present i.e.

Introduction to FSA program is done by the representatives and other tasks and queries such as motivation and goal of a FSA ,open Internet ,data consumption over the internet,implementing the idea of open web.

Various Mozilla Projects are discussed and demonstration of the works of representatives are shown on various projects and their ongoing contribution to Mozilla Products,Community and Projects are thouroughly discussed:

- project AUSTRAILS: Redefining ux(User Experience)
- project SERVO:A Browser Platform
- RUST(A New Programming Language)
- ELECTROLYSIS : To make firefox perform better - is in nightly
- 4 Firefox release channels(nightly,aurora,beta and stable)
- 6 week cycle
- Mobile front: ff for android and ffos (coming to india in 2014)
- mozilla marketplace
- mdn github.com/mozilla
- Cloud domain
- sync next: next level of firefox sync
- affiliated projects: webmaker, openbadges and hive
- shumway: html5 platformer app

Community update- Delhi is un organised and fragmented
- we need a structure
- a lot of people have to leave the city after graduation

Next Events are decided:
- Every meetup should be in a different college : vote yes- unanimous.

- next meetup is at IEC- CET.
- mozcamp : updates and talk,distribution of Swags,Goodies etc @IEC-CET.
- Kitchen Table@ IEC-CET.
- Participation of students in the Mozilla Projects and various other challenges.
- HACKATHON in the next 3 months. Should have a Participation criteria( venue not yet confirmed).

Structure and the Orientation program is to be discussed on the next Meetup.

Then the Firefox club activities are discussed such as:
- interfacing with mozilla.
- post everything on ML and a public blog
- take pictures
- proposal: aggregator on delhi.mozillaindia.org BLOG.

- look into planet mozilla

Guidelines and REPS responsibilities are decided:
- no restrictions on club members
- do whatever works

Reps Responsibilities:

- in a meta way, two fold: represent mozilla and engage the community
- wiki.mozilla.org/remo
- interface between mozilla and the community

Finally the MEETUP ended with the treat given by the new representative AKSHAY.
